texture

(Vintage: Fur coat, sequin shift shirt, boots, sunglasses, target tights, DIY sweater shorts, Alexander Wang bag, Jewls: mixture of new &vintage)photos:chloe
After the longest day EVER yesterday, waking up at 6:45 to have my stylist come to my apt and tone the brassiness out of my hair, working my regular job, pulling shoes and accessories for the lookbook I'm styling Sunday, and styling one of my favorite clients Ms. Shirley for a big big big party Saturday, this was the outfit I pulled together. And I have to say I LOVE it. The variety of colors and textures that on paper sound like visual diarrhea actually compliment and contrast perfectly on the body. Not to mention I am as comfortable as can be. My shorts were a DIY project. I bought an xxl men's cardigan, cut off the sleeves and had them sewn into shorts. If you'd like to create a pair for yourself here is the BEST hint I can offer, MAKE CERTAIN that the sweater is as BIG as possible, otherwise the sleeves are too skinny and your @ss looks huge, clearly this was a trial and error situation for myself. I also think these types of shorts are best suited with crazy colors and prints, and put together with things out of the ordinary, other patterned sweaters, sequin shifts (like I choose), floral print, abstract colored button downs. Try mismatching, I promise its easy as can be and looks pretty f*cking cool in my opinion. Happy Friday everyone....next week FASHION WEEK....

  2. The shorts idea is a great one. I bought the Stolen Girlfriends Club version of the knit shorts, but after seeing yours I wish I had just made my own. Also, I love your fur.
